Yu-Jie (Joey) Lin is a Research Technologist at STEMCELL Technologies, Cambridge, United Kingdom. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at the National Tsing Hua University of Taiwan. Her BSc thesis focused on developing 3D cell spheroids of MCS-derived Schwann-like cells for treating peripheral nerve injury. After working as a research assistant for one year, Yu-Jie moved to Germany where she obtained a master in Regenerative Biology and Medicine at the Technische Universität of Dresden. With her thesis “Optimization of patient-derived lung cancer organoid development for precision oncology”, she gained experience in working with human organoids derived from various tissues.
Within GUTVIBRATIONS, Yu-Jie will be providing support for Work Package 3. She will be working with Alessandro Dei on the generation of the BBB culture system.
